Club Awards 2021

Reivers Awards 2021

Road Captain of the Year

This Cup is awarded to the Ride Leader who, in the opinion of the Club Members, has contributed most to ensuring that well led Club Rides take place on a regular period. The winner will have shown an outstanding empathy for other riders, guiding them diligently and safely throughout the Year.

2021 : Bruce Robinson

In 2021 Bruce showed himself as a diligent ride leader for our green section riders on official rides. Bruce has found to be especially supportive of those starting their cycling adventures and was instrumental in many newer members building their skills and fitness.

Outstanding Achievement

This Cup is awarded to the Reiver who has demonstrated the highest level of determination and greatest achievement throughout the year. The winner will have shown true Reiver Spirit by riding further, higher whilst still maintaining a sense of humour.

2021: Ian Jackson

In a year where many found themselves cycling less, or found themselves without their cycling mojo, Ian stealthily ticked off the miles, cycling further than any other Reiver in 2021. Ian can put pretty much be found on any ride, be it gravel, solo, circuit or with the black group, there is no road left uncycled.

Palace Cycles Shield for Reiver of the Year

This Shield is awarded to the Club Member who has demonstrated throughout the year a selfless commitment to ensure that the Club's interests and reputation are maintained to the highest standard. The winner of this award, will be considered by their peers, to have given the most time and energy to the Club.

2021 : Steve Hampton

Steve has been an unsung hero of the Reivers from its inception. From serving on the committee as treasurer, to organising the circuit nights. Steve’s hand is behind everything from riding standards, risk assessments, as well as guiding (and goading on) red and blue riders on Wednesdays and on weekend rides. He has pretty much arranged all the trophies too so it seems only fitting that he wins one!
